Up came the bow, but only briefly before it fell softly and we were away, skimming across the waters of Table Rock Lake in the Missouri Ozarks. Water conditions were great for evaluating
Tahoe’s Q7i SF, a playful, but serious, fish ’n ski bowrider. A mild chop covered the lake and there were plenty of wakes and waves to challenge Tahoe’s newest model. We enjoyed running this 201⁄2-footer through a series of tests, including top-speed sprints, turns, wake jumping, and starting and stopping. In fact, at the end of the day we hated to give up driving this very comfortable runabout.
Although some base-powered rigs struggle to get on plane — plowing bow high and compromising driver visibility — this wasn’t the case with the Tahoe. It was up and away quickly, and without undue trimming as we advanced the throttle. Once on plane and with the throttle wide open, we increased trim and the bow easily settled to a flat running attitude...
